My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Cindy! Cindy is a 5 month kitten participating in our Adopt From Home program. Here is what her owner has to say about her!

`Cindy’s mom was a feral momma cat we named Jodie [Foster] who we
fostered while she had and raised her own kittens. Cindy is the feline
version of her namesake, Cindy Crawford, right down to the beauty mark
and how she works the camera! Cindy is outgoing and industrious once she
knows the people around her, and loves to be the focus of the party.
Despite her celebrity status, she is polite and an accomplish bug killer! She
is now about 5 months old and ready to find a forever home.
Favorite things:
• Being pet
• Toys (chirping birds and squeaking mouse toys are the best!)
• Snacks
• Practicing her runway strut
• Chasing flies
• Hanging out with her sister, Mae
• Being the “stage director” for the house, making sure we are all doing
the right thing
Cindy likes a lot of attention on her own terms. She accepts being picked up
and carried around, but prefers to be on her own four feet – unless she is in
a “carry me” mood. However, she never claws or tries to escape if you pick
her up. She loves her head and back scratched and will seek out attention.
She plays with toys and other cats, but often will stand back and watch as if
she is too regal for rowdiness. Her best friend is Mae [West], her sister, and
they spend most of their time together.
Raised with a large, geriatric dog, Cindy accepts a dog presence after a
warming period, but still insists she is the #1 pet in the house so will push
past a silly dog to get to a lap or treats! She gets along well with our other
cats and likes their company. Cindy is litter-box trained (Litter Robot) and would be a great family cat.`

Cindy is spayed, up to date on vaccines, microchipped and ready to go home today! To meet Cindy please reach out to her owner Pam at hess2589@gmail.com.

More about this shelter

West Valley Humane Society is an open-admission animal shelter in Southern Idaho. Serving all of Canyon County, and surrounding areas. We take in the stray, surrendered, abandoned, neglected animals in our community. In 2017, we took in 7,778 animals. We believe that every animal deserves a second chance.

We contract with the cities of Nampa, Caldwell and Canyon County to house stray and owner surrender animals that their ACO's, or the general public, bring to us.
