***Staff thinks I will be ready by early January. My foster family says `Raven is one of the Magnificent 7 Kittens. A litter of seven strays who arrived at the shelter needing a little TLC, which was provided by a foster family so lively and quick we knew it must have been St. Nick! Raven is a beautiful little black kitten with highlights. Like a little black dress, every woman needs one; a wonderful kitten that is. Raven has a unique personality who will flourish with a little TLC. Raven is a wild child with a daring spirit. She is very energetic and a bundle of energy. She is a stunning void with piercing eyes and a mysterious curiosity. She is adventurous and independent. Raven is smart, perceptive, and adapts quickly to new environments. She enjoys exploring her surroundings or just relaxing with a quick catnap after a full day of play. Raven appreciates a good back scratch and a hug when being held. She also enjoys playing with various toys. She delights in running, jumping, climbing, and wrestling with her littermates. Raven would make any adopter feel loved unconditionally. She is well adjusted, confident, and affectionate. Raven’s socialization skills will continue to develop with a good family. She is truly a treasure! All Raven wants for Christmas is a forever home. Please adopt her!!` ***
I am not currently at the shelter because I`m growing big and strong in a foster home! You can sign up to pre-adopt me by placing a $50 choice hold. This is a non-refundable fee that does not go towards my adoption fee, but it does give you the first opportunity to adopt me. Shelter staff will contact you when I’m ready to go home with my new family! To place a choice hold, you can either come into the shelter or call us at 719-473-1741; you may wait to speak with a customer service representative or leave a voicemail. Choice holds are placed on a first-come, first-serve basis and only one choice hold can be placed on an animal.

More about this shelter
We provide compassionate care for nearly 5,000 animals each year. Most of the animals that come to our shelter are either pets relinquished by their owners or stray pets found wandering in the areas we serve. Dogs and cats are the most common, although a wide variety of other animals may be found at the shelter as well, including birds, snakes, fish, hamsters and guinea pigs.
