***Staff thinks I will be ready by early January. My foster family says `Heather is one of the Magnificent 7 Kittens. A litter of seven strays who arrived at the shelter needing a little TLC, which was provided by a foster family so lively and quick we knew it must have been St. Nick! Heather is a wonderful tabby kitten with beautiful markings. Heather is definitely going to grow up to be a stunner. Heather is well socialized and shows no fear of new things or us from the beginning. Where most kittens are frightened easily and tend to hide, Heather immediately comes to greets us upon entering the room and wants to engage in play and jump in our laps. She relishes being held and is content lounging in our arms. Heather is alert, inquisitive, and adventurous. She also enjoys running, climbing, jumping, and wrestling with her littermates. She can definitely keep up with her brothers. Heather has adjusted well to changing surroundings, experiences, and loves exploring her environment which provides mental and physical stimulation. Her development is progressing well and should continue with a little TLC. She delights in pouncing on her favorite toy and playing with others. Heather is well adjusted, confident, and affectionate. Heather is beginning to show her independence as she matures. Heather traveled well in a carrier/vehicle and was easy to handle during vet visits. Heather’s socialization skills will continue to develop with a good family. All Heather wants for Christmas is a forever home. Please adopt her!` ***
I am not currently at the shelter because I`m growing big and strong in a foster home! You can sign up to pre-adopt me by placing a $50 choice hold. This is a non-refundable fee that does not go towards my adoption fee, but it does give you the first opportunity to adopt me. Shelter staff will contact you when I’m ready to go home with my new family! To place a choice hold, you can either come into the shelter or call us at 719-473-1741; you may wait to speak with a customer service representative or leave a voicemail. Choice holds are placed on a first-come, first-serve basis and only one choice hold can be placed on an animal.
