This a truly amazing dog who is a true Rottweiler. Please do not pay attention to the white on his chest because he is a great dog who loves to play with all of the dogs big and small. As a matter of fact, Barkley would love to be in a home with a pet playmate. He will not do well as an only pet. He is strong but very well mannered, he is also obedient and easy to train.

He came to me with a broken leg from our very high kill shelter where he was in jeopardy of being put down. His leg has completely healed and there is no medications or special attention that he needs.

ADOPTION FEE & APPLICATION REQUIRED

Roxxy's K-9 Rescue does not have a shelter, all of our dogs are raised in foster homes. Each dog comes spay/neutered (fixed), rabies shots appropriate for their age, and dewormed twice. The dogs are up to date on vaccinations according to their age at the time of adoption. They are microchipped, heartworm tested and on monthly flea/tick and heartworm preventative. ALL OF THIS IS INCLUDED IN THE ADOPTION FEE.

We transport across the United States.

Medical records will come with each dog at the time of adoption.

For anyone out of state we will do a phone or Facetime interview so you can go over all of your concerns.

Approve Application

Once you have met the requirements & picked a dog that matches your lifestyle, your application will be approved and you are a step closer.

Take the Pet Home

Transportation will be secured to get your new pet to you. Transportation fees are included in the adoption fee. Thank you.

More about this rescue

We are a home based foster rescue organization, we do not have a shelter. All of our dogs are in private foster homes where they are healthy and socially active. We are better able to explain their personality and behavior.
We rescue dogs from the streets of San Antonio, Texas who have been dumped and abandoned as well as pull them from our very high kill city shelter. We also rescue dogs from surrounding counties and take owner surrenders.
We rescue dogs because of the passion in our hearts to help the voiceless when they need help the most. We are rewarded with great, happy and grateful dogs.
