My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Sid, a sweet, curious cat who’s always ready to explore and cuddle. Named for the sloth in "Ice Age" (who she somewhat resembles), Sid is always up for exploring. The moment she arrives at a new place, she’s fearless, diving straight into investigating every corner with her wide-eyed curiosity. Whether it's sniffing around or checking out new spots, Sid is always on the move. You could often catch her looking out the window or on various surfaces sniffing around. But when she’s done, she knows how to relax in the cutest way possible. Sid loves to sleep in the most adorable positions — often curling up in a tiny ball, stretching out with her paws in the air, or even tucking her face into her own fur for maximum cuteness.

Sid also loves being petted and will purr quietly but happily whenever you give her attention. Sid will follow you around, ready to see the next thing you do and never wants to be too far from her favorite person. She doesn’t mind being picked up and will happily settle into your lap for a nap.

We think that Sid would do well with human family members of any age and energy level. She was previously fostered with another calm cat who she tolerates, but she requires slow and proper introductions to other animals, and she can be a bit sassy about them. She may prefer to be the only kitty and soak up all of your affection!

Sid is estimated to be about a year old. She has been spayed, dewormed, flea treated, microchipped, vaccinated, and has tested FIV/FeLV-. Please apply for this little velcro cat today!

Their adoption process

1.

Submit Application

Typically we talk a little with potential adopters to find a cat who is a good fit before sharing the application.

2.

Approve Application

We check over the application including checking vet references and doing landlord checks.

3.

Interview

We spend more time chatting with the adopters to specifically go over any questions from the application and details about the specific cat.

4.

Meet the Pet

Potential adopters have a meet and greet with the cat or kitten in the foster home.

5.

Sign Adoption Contract

At the meet and greet, if all goes well, the adoption contract can be signed, the fee can be paid, and the pet can go home!

6.

Pay Fee

7.

Take the Pet Home

Additional adoption info

We try to do our best to make sure we find good fitting, responsible homes, without wasting a lot of our time. Our app has a lot of screening questions which help eliminate potential adopters who might not be serious (they usually just don't return the app), or not a good fit, which is why the in depth interview happens once the app is returned.

More about this rescue

We are a small but dedicated 501c3 nonprofit cat rescue specializing in making one person's garbage kitten another person's forever cat.

Our mission is to reduce feline suffering and overpopulation using a combination of TNR and adoptions. We foster and socialize whenever we have the resources to do so, including behavioral cats and kittens who might otherwise just be candidates for TNR.
