My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.

Meet Mitch a gorgeous 12 pound Pom looking for his forever home. At two years old Mitch has had a tough start and bounced around a bit so we want to find the perfect family that can handle his little quirks knowing how well it will pay off! Mitch would do best with another dog in the home as he takes a little time to trust and bond with people. He loves playing with other dogs and is working on leash walking as he gets very excited and wants to walk on two legs so a fenced yard is needed for him! Mitch will require a patient owner who is willing to give him space for the first 2 weeks of settling in, respect his stress signals, as well as work through some of the food and toy guarding tendencies he may display at first. These things improve as he adjusts and disappear once he is feeling at home. With trust, safety and training Mitch will adjust to his new family with time and be a perfect lifelong companion. He’s energetic but has no problem settling in his crate at night and often goes into it during the day when he wants to rest. Using a crate is required for Mitch because he relies on it for comfort. This guy deserves the right home so he can finally relax and let his true fun personality shine! Mitch is house trained, crate trained, and loves adventures with his people. He is healthy and even had his bad knee repaired so he can live a pain free life. If you want the best boy ever and are able to give him space and time to get comfortable, have another dog, and fenced yard, then he may be just your guy! To adopt Mitch, please complete an adoption application at peacelovepoms.rescuegroups.org. The $350 adoption donation ($250 for senior citizens 65+) includes core vaccines (Rabies, Parvo/Distemper, and Bordatella), Accuplex (Heart worm and Lyme test), fecal, microchip, bloodwork, neuter, dental, patella repair, and all the love you can handle! Peace Love and Poms Rescue is not a shelter environment. All our dogs are placed in loving foster homes where they are treated like family until a forever home is found. This means all approved applicants will need to make an appointment with the foster pawrents to meet their potential new pet.
