Beautiful Blanca

This little lady has had a sad beginning in life. She had to endure abuse at the hand of her first person.... abuse so bad that a good samaritan had to call afraid for her and the lives of the other dogs in the home. So, of course, our sister rescue took them in.

Blanca still has sad eyes, and when a voice gets raised, she will cower. Her foster home focused on  a positive approach with her using food as a motivation to get her to do the more difficult things ( like using the bathroom outside in the cold ) or going into her crate at night to sleep, she caught on quickly as Blanca is a total food bandit.
Due to her ability to snipe food like she is starving, Blanca would do better with older children as she has no issues with stealing food from a baby!!! Walking is also another trial and error because she gets excited and walks well but can pull, then can get scared and needs gentle leadership. So whoever gets this little diamond in the rough will need to understand that she will take a little while to understand your wants and learn your routines but her foster knows that the reward will be huge because once she catches on her happy tippy tap zoomies brings joy to the heart.

Blanca is a sweet girl who is good with the other dogs in her foster home but has no qualms about setting boundaries with them. She occasionally, if one of the cats runs or gets rowdy in her home will put a chase and has to be reminded that isn't allowed, so if you don't want that extra work don't apply if you don't have dog savvy cats.

Blanca is not a chewer and is clean in the home. She travels ok and for the abuse she has endured is good with people! For the right person, this beauty will make the most amazing best friend!

If you feel you would be the right fit for Blanca, please fill out an adoption application at https://www.allpawsmatter.ca/apply-to-adopt/

All APM dogs are UTD on vaccinations, microchipped, spayed or neutered, dewormed, Heart worm (4dx snap) tested and arrive with a health certificate. They come to adopter with a harness, a collar and two leashes for safety.

NOTE: The above description is relevant to this dog in its current and previous setting. Home changes and adopter personalities can bring out different behaviours not previously seen. We also do not claim or suggest that our dogs are hypo-allergenic or that they shed/do not shed.

BREED DISCLAIMER: We are never sure of the breed of our dogs since they arrive off the streets or shelters. It is a guess only!

More about this rescue

At All Paws Matter Dog Rescue along with our sister rescue SOS el Arca, we are determined to save as many broken, abused, abandoned to die and neglected street and shelter dogs in Canada and Mexico as we can. Motivated by a deep love of our 4 legged friends, our mandate is to save and improve as many lives as possible. We have seen many tragedies and have witnessed the most horrible cruelties, but we know working together we can make a significance difference. Raising the awareness of the importance of spaying and neutering our 4 legged friends and through the love and support of our wonderful volunteers, supporters and adopters our hope is to rescue, heal and successfully rehome as many of these deserving souls as possible.
