Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
Hi there! I'm Lacy May. Like fancy lace and the best month of May put together! I'm a 13 pound sweet pea ...everyone says so. Warm like sunshine, I'll brighten up any day. I came here with my sissy, Zoey. We have lived a life someplace else, but they said we couldn't stay there. They said we was in ruff shape but, but we didn't really know it. We was scared at first. I took care of sissy. Then we met some nice folks called foxter parents and they give great scratches and cuddles. I found lots of good food. It was great!
✅I am good in my crate. Also like the freedom of our room we get to explore with a gate up so we can see the other animals in passing. But they don't crowd our scene.
✅🐈⬛🐶I'm not dog or cat reactive. I want to play with the kittens.
⚠️I Need some work on house training, and need encouragement to go outside. I'm used to inside life, not much time spent outside.
😍It didn't take me long to warm up and I'm loving this attention thing. I like to tap you with my paw if you cut the nice scratches short. Keep going please! Tap tap more more please. It's kind of my move.
Hobbies include: Foraging for food... (who ate sisters food ? No clue ? 👀 hummm. Well it WAS just sitting there. I had no choice really.... it was getting stale! ) Here's more about sweet me: ✅I can be outgoing once I feel safe. ✅I am liking this play time. I can be playful, come join me!! ✅I might do best with older kids. I'm not thrilled with fast energetic movements. I like dogs my size. Maybe I can get a home with my sissy. I have lots of love to give, I'm looking for a forever home where I will be taken good care of. I have gone through some things I want to put behind me. Onward and upward !! There is food to swipe, and scratches to win! Please turn in your app to be my mom and dad if you have food scooping skills and good scratching techniques! Primary Color: White Secondary Color: Black Weight: 13.2 Age: 11yrs 10mths 2wks

More about this shelter
The Humane Society of Wicomico County was started in 1968 by a group of people who wanted to help improve the lives of animals. We have come a long way in our 40+ years! We have a staff dedicated to making sure the animals that come to our doors are loved and protected as they wait for their forever home. Not only are our animals vaccinated, wormed and given flea preventative, we can treat animals that come to us with mange, ringworm, heartworm and pay for animals to be seen by an outside vet should there be a need. We have an on-site spay/neuter clinic that not only is used for our animals but we also offer low cost spay/neuter for animals of the public. We provide emergency boarding for victims of domestic abuse, fire, and medical emergencies. We also have the capability to set up an off-site emergency shelter for people evacuated from their homes. In addition, we have an education program to help teach kids about being a responsible pet guardian. We work with a wide range of rescue groups and our animals have been transported from our mid-Atlantic area throughout the North Eastern United States. Our shelter is an open admission shelter and we will take in approximately 3500 animals this year. We do what we do because of our love for animals and our desire to make a difference in their lives every single day.
