My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Consi may be the runt of the litter, with a unique fawn and brown mix that looks like mom’s printer was running low on ink, but don’t let her size fool you—she’s full of spunk! With a light nose, paws, and soulful amber eyes, she’s as adorable as she is playful. Though a bit timid around new people and environments, once she feels safe, she’s all about cuddles and staying close to you. Consi is an avid chewer and loves her toys, and she often looks to her big sister, Lyra, for guidance on how to interact with humans. She’s quickly learning to relax and enjoy belly rubs, and with her sharp mind and food motivation, she’ll be easy to train. Like any young pup, she’ll need consistency and patience as she works on potty training and refining her manners.

4 pups came and their mom Takia. You have to see how pretty she is. Cosni gets spayed Dec. 30 and can be adopted 3 days later.

Our adoption process involves completing a one-page adoption application. Applications are processed within 48 hours.

Adoption fees for cats/kittens are $130.00. All cats/kittens have been wormed, altered, tested for feline leukemia, given age-appropriate vaccinations, and are microchipped.

Adoption fees for dogs/puppies are $300.00 All dogs/puppies have been wormed, altered, tested for heart worm, given age-appropriate vaccinations, and are microchipped.

We also offer our Senior for Senior program matching senior animals to people over the age of 63. Adoption fees are waived for this program.

More about this rescue

Camp Companion is a 501c3 organization established in 2003.

Based in Rochester MN, the organization is totally driven by volunteers.

Camp Companion is dedicated to providing low-cost spay and neuter services for feral, farm and stray companion animals. The organization is funded solely by donations, fundraisers, grants, and adoption fees. All funds we receive are used for veterinary expenses and the cost of care incurred for the animals waiting for their forever homes.

Through our spay / neuter efforts, we encounter kittens and stray domestic cats that need rescue services and a forever home. We have no shelter, but rely on foster homes to care for these rescued pets. Every animal we offer for adoption is spayed or neutered.
