HOW TO ADOPT: This dog is currently spending time in a foster home. To schedule a time to meet this dog, please email fosterinquiry@arl-iowa.org.
---
- Has the sweetest brown eyes that will just make you melt!
- Can be a little shy around new people at first, but once she trusts you, you're her best friend
- Loves her people so much and always wants to be around you, whether she's coming to you for comfort when she's nervous or just asking for pets and playtime
- Loves getting her zoomies out in her foster family's yard and would probably love a home with lots of space to run and play
- Does well in the car and likes to look out multiple windows to make sure she doesn't miss anything; if she sees an open car door she'll probably try to hop in and go for a ride!
- Likes to explore and sniff everything she can on walks and tends to move from side to side in the sidewalk
- Prefers to snuggle up with you at bedtime and may think your pillow is hers to share
- Enjoys squeaky toys and tennis balls that she can play with on her own or with her people; also a big fan of sticks
- Has done great with potty training in her foster home, just remember any dog may take time to adjust to a new schedule and routine
- Has loved playing with other dogs in her foster home and will likely enjoy spending time with dogs who have a similar play style in her new home
- Has seen cats in passing on her walks and doesn't seem to care too much about them
All adoptable dogs and puppies are spayed/neutered, microchipped and up to date on vaccinations (rabies and DA2PPV as appropriate for their age)
The ARL's shelter software requires that we choose a primary breed for our dogs. Visual breed identification in dogs is unreliable, so for most dogs we are only guessing at primary breed. We get to know each dog as an individual and do our best to describe each of our dogs based on personality, not breed label.
