HOW TO ADOPT: This kitten is available for adoption by appointment. To schedule a time to meet this kitten, please email fosterinquiry@arl-iowa.org.
---
- Arrived at the ARL undersocialized but has made big strides in a foster home; still a little shy at first but absolutely loves to snuggle once she's comfortable
- Once she trusts you she loves to cuddle up in a blanket and be scooped on your chest
- Looking for a someone who will treat her with patience and understanding if she hides for a while; she'll eventually make her way out to be with you and the snuggles are totally worth it!
- Please plan on starting her in one room of your home and giving her quite a bit of time (days or weeks) to become comfortable with that area and with you before allowing her access to larger areas of the home; this process will help set her up for success by not overwhelming her
This cat can be fearful and may need extra time to adjust to a new home. We've seen good progress here at the ARL, but don't be surprised if it takes several weeks for this cat to become comfortable in a new place. This cat may hide and just observe at first - maybe for quite a while - and that is perfectly normal. Young children are too much for this cat right now, so we are highly recommending a quiet, mature home. We are happy to provide post-adoption resources. If you can give this cat extra time, patience and TLC, please consider adopting! It will be so rewarding to watch them gain confidence and start enjoying all the good things in life!
All adoptable cats and kittens are spayed/neutered, microchipped and up to date on vaccinations (rabies and FVRCP as appropriate for their age)
