My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Mistletoe is here to bring a little extra cheer! True to her festive name, she’s all about sharing love and seeking connection. Whether it’s her soft, soulful eyes or her gentle tail wags, Mistletoe’s charm is hard to resist.

When it comes to meeting new people, Mistletoe is patient and polite. Once outside, her leash skills are pretty solid, making her a good walk buddy.

She’s incredibly affectionate and loves being close to her human friends. She’ll lean in for pets, wag her tail, and soak up all the attention you’re willing to give.

Mistletoe can be a little overexcited for treats (who doesn’t love a good snack), but she’s learning quickly and takes them with growing gentleness.

If you’re looking for a sweet, loyal companion to brighten your days and warm your heart, Mistletoe is your gal. Let her be the star atop your tree this season—come meet her today!

Eligible for rescue, foster, and adoption. Meet Mistletoe at ACCT Philly any day of the week from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., or email foster@acctphilly.org to express interest in fostering her.

Behavior notes:
12/22/24 staff notes BEHAVIOR EVALUATION:

KNOWN HISTORY:
Stray

KENNEL PRESENTATION:
Mistletoe was standing at the front of kennel with soft eyes and mid level wags! He was patient for leashing and gave no issues exiting! Needed coaxing walking through the kennels.

LEASH SKILLS:
Pulls minimally, darts on leash a bit.

HANDLING:
Mistletoe was a bit nervous in the room and was trembling, but stayed close to me with soft eyes and low wags! She allowed all over handling without any issues and was very handler oriented and would seek out attention frequently. Remained loose when passing by a young child in the kennels as well. Was excitable when taking treats but was still fairly gentle.

PLAY:
No interest

TOYS:
Interest but no possession.

12/22/24 staff notes: Seems very eager to meet new people. A little snatchy with treats but seems like a very sweet girl. Only met her thru kennel bars
