Mater is a sweet goofy baby boy, he just turned 8 on 12/20. (the pic in his pjs is his birthday pic!) He was rescued from a home in Sacramento, CA last month. He was neglected for the past 2 years while his former owner was dying from cancer. He was treated for a fungal skin condition (you can see in one of the pictures how he looked at the start) this has greatly improved and his hair is growing back. Now he only needs regular baths, which he likes. He does not get along with our cat or smaller dog. We do think he would be better as a solo dog or maybe just one other large dog, he has been raised with other GSDs. He is crate trained, but he doesn't know how to be a dog outside of the crate so he is struggling a little on house training. When we got him he was skin and bones, so we've been feeding him a lot and he is starting to fill out! He loves to play ball and run around outside. He's not a big fan of the rain, but he's adjusting. Now we need to help him to find his furever home!
