My name is Hutch!

Hutch came to the shelter as a stray on 12/16/2024. We held him for the legal hold time and no one claimed him. We're guessing he could have mini Australian shepherd, border collie, and maybe some sort of spaniel and/or terrier in his breed mix. Don't hold us to this, however, because we're just not positive. He's a petite young guy who could still be under a year old. He will be vet checked and neutered on Jan. 9th and his fee is $150.

Hutch is a shy guy but is well mannered and enjoys attention. We're starting to see his personality come out and he's loving and kind of goofy. He keeps his kennel clean at the shelter. He will need some basic training as he's not too sure about the whole leash thing. We do think he would do well with other dogs and older kids. Cats? We don't know. He will need some consistent grooming as he does have a somewhat wavy coat.

We are located at 101 22nd St. SE in Austin, right next to the airport. It's exit 180B off of I-90, right off of 218 South.

We do require that potential adopters be at least 21 years old and that any resident dogs be up to date on vaccinations, heartworm testing/preventatives, and spayed or neutered.
