My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi my name is Pretz! I was rescued with my siblings Poe, Piper, and Percy in a dangerous part of Van Nuys. Our mom took refuge in a garage where a woman was feeding her to give birth to us. This area was in a very busy parking lot and there were coyotes in the area. We are so thankful that a nice woman in the area safely got us out of there and took great care of us until Smittens could get us ready for adoption. I’m the one with a white patch on my chest. I’m mischievous, a mama`s boy, and fearless! I get along with dogs and I can’t wait to find a safe and loving home to call my own.

More about this rescue

Smittens isn’t just another cat rescue.
We are a coalition of volunteers with a spay/neuter mission, dedicated to helping both stray and owned animals in the greater San Diego area get fixed, receive veterinary care, and whatever else they may need! Smittens works with shelters and other rescues to route cats to proper vet care and eventual homes, and we take in stray cats who need help getting off the street. We also support TNR for feral cats, and assist cat and dog owners to get their own pets fixed and vaccinated at a low cost.
