Sox is a gentle 9.5-year-old black beauty who’s looking for a warm and loving home to call her own this winter. She may be a little shy at first and prefers to take things slow when meeting new people, but don’t let that fool you—underneath her cautious exterior is a heart full of love just waiting to bloom. Sox loves the simple pleasures in life: gentle brushing, quiet cubby spots to curl up and nap, and the comfort of a peaceful home. While she may not ask for affection right away, with patience and a little time, Sox will slowly open up and show her true affectionate side. She’s looking for a patient, kind family who will give her the time and space she needs to feel safe and loved. In the right environment, Sox will thrive and, over time, become the loyal and loving companion she was always meant to be. If you’re ready to offer her a gentle, patient home, Sox just might be the perfect match for you!

More about this shelter
Why adopt from LRHS? Adopting from a shelter gives owners the opportunity to meet and bond with their future pet prior to making the commitment to adopt. If you have an existing dog, our professional dog trainers and kennel techs will ensure all dogs meet and get along before sending a new dog into your home. If you run into any unforeseen behavioral or medical issues, educated LRHS staff are here to help field your questions and concerns.
LRHS ensures all dogs placed for adoption are to date on Rabies, Distemper and Bordatella vaccinations and are spayed/neutered, microchipped and administered flea/tick and heartworm treatments monthly. If a dog has a medical condition or behavioral issue, LRHS will make certain you are aware of the issue(s) before you adopt.
