Despite her independent spirit, she enjoys the company of humans and fellow pets alike. Luna`s sweet nature is truly heartwarming, and her intelligence shines through in the way she quickly picks up new commands. She`s a smart girl who loves mental stimulation and is always up for a fun game or puzzle. Adopting Luna means welcoming a loyal friend who will offer unconditional love and companionship. Luna will need an indoor home and a secure containment area to stay safe from wandering and escaping. Positive reinforcement, fear-free training will be needed. Daily exercise and mental enrichment will be very important. If you have other dogs in your home, we would be happy to arrange a meet and greet with your dog(s) to make sure everyone gets along. We do not know how she will do with cats.

West Valley Humane Society is an open-admission animal shelter in Southern Idaho. Serving all of Canyon County, and surrounding areas. We take in the stray, surrendered, abandoned, neglected animals in our community. In 2017, we took in 7,778 animals. We believe that every animal deserves a second chance.
We contract with the cities of Nampa, Caldwell and Canyon County to house stray and owner surrender animals that their ACO's, or the general public, bring to us.
