Sweety`s name truly reflects her delightful personality; she is an absolute sweetheart.
When meeting new people, she exudes a calm and confident demeanor that instantly puts everyone at ease. Don’t be fooled by her size (Sweety is a big gal, tipping the scales at 91 lbs.), as this girl is a gentle giant. While she playfully refers to her extra junk in the trunk as `holiday weight,` we all know her joints could benefit from shedding a few pounds. Sweety would thrive with someone who enjoys taking leisurely strolls every day to help her trim down, and you`ll find that she’s a pleasure to walk with, as she is excellent on the leash. When she`s not out enjoying those daily walks, Sweety is quite the couch potato, relishing the laid-back lifestyle.
Sweety has gotten the chance to interact with other 40lb+ dogs in the shelter’s playgroup program, and she has done well. She has generally been laid back, saying a quick/polite ‘hello’ to the other low-energy dogs before settling in to watch the more active pups do their thing. Based on her playgroup interactions, we think Sweety could do well in a home with another laid-back, lower-energy large breed dog(s).
