My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hello new friends! I am a cute young guy, just about 40lbs! I love to snuggle up to my person, even when we go for walks. I feel very confident when I`m between someone`s legs, but I am learning that makes it more difficult for both of us to walk! I would love a family all my own! If you`re interested in meeting me please call 719-686-7707 and set a time!

Their adoption process

Additional adoption info

To adopt:
All adoptions must be done in person. Visit the shelter to meet the adoptable animals you would like to consider. TCRAS is open 6 days a week, please see hours of operation.

Your visit with each animal will be assisted by a trained adoption specialist to answer questions, address concerns and to help you decide if the animal is a good fit for your home environment (i.e. children, other pets, specific needs, etc). You can also bring in your current pets to do a visitation (this may be required with certain animals).

In the year 2000, the Teller County Regional Animal Shelter (TCRAS) was formed and continued under this leadership to the present day. Our shelter is a small, rural shelter. Every year, over 800 lost, abandoned, neglected, or homeless dogs and cats get assistance from TCRAS. We do not euthanize for time or space.
