My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Rosie is a 2-year-old black Lab mix with a heart full of potential and a gentle spirit. While she can be a bit wary and shy around new people, once she feels comfortable, she reveals her loving, affectionate nature. Rosie takes a little time to warm up, but with patience and understanding, she quickly forms strong, trusting bonds with those she knows.

Rosie enjoys quiet moments and loves a peaceful environment where she can feel safe. She’s a calm and loyal companion, happy to go for walks, play in the yard, or curl up beside you for a cozy nap. Though she may be cautious at first, her sweet personality and eagerness to please shine through once she feels secure.

Rosie would thrive in a calm, patient home that can offer her time to adjust and build trust. She’s looking for a family that will understand her shy nature and help her come out of her shell. In return, Rosie will offer a lifetime of loyalty and affection to those who give her the love and space she needs.

This pet is available for adoption at the Ellensburg Humane Society adoption center.

If you are interested in adopting this pet please fill out an adoption questionnaire at www.yakimahumane.org. A Yakima Humane Society staff member will contact you once your questionnaire has been processed. Adopters are welcome to visit the adoption center Monday-Saturday.

A Picture says 1000 words...right? While an animal`s picture draws interest, the reality is that as a potential adopter most people would like as much information as possible about a pet. The Yakima Humane Society is an open admission shelter. What does this mean? Over 90% of the pets at the adoption center arrive as strays, no history of behavior or medical care is known. Adding a pet to your family is a big responsibility. Please research carefully and remember that adoption is life saving. Adop
