**I`m currently available for adoption in my foster home. Please call WCHS if you are interested in meeting Quam.
Intake Reason: Owner surrender. Weight: 103 lbs. Known with: ·Cats: Has done well. ·Dogs: Has lived with multiple dogs. ·Kids: Lived with six of various ages.
- Quam is a shy guy who needs a little time to open up. Once he lets you in, he`s a playful, loving boy who loves to cuddle and get scratches. Initially hesitant towards unfamiliar people but is slowly working up his confidence with meeting new friends. - Quam knows `sit`, `stay`, `lay down`, `wait`, “come”, and `bed`. - Quam loves treats and is very food motivated. He is also very talented at catching treats. - He gets along well with kids, cats, and other dogs. In his foster home he lived with a 2-year-old female Black Mouth Cur and quickly became best friends. Quam also lived with a cat in his foster home. He was curious towards the cat but never paid much attention besides an occasional sniff. He visited with kids ranging from 1.5 years old to 13 and did well. - Quam prioritizes comfort over most anything else. As long as he has a comfy dog bed, pile of blankets, or a couch to nap on he`s happy. He is extra happy if he can cuddle next to you for scratches while he naps. - He definitely still has puppy energy once he’s comfortable, but he wears himself out pretty quickly. He loves to be let out into the yard to run zoomies. Quam is currently in a foster home. Please call the shelter at 262-677-4388 to make an appointment. #1

Visit the shelter. We have an application that takes about 15 minutes to fill out once you have found a pet you like. You call back the next day which gives us time to review the application and gives you 24 hours to think about your decision to adopt. You can also complete our on-line application and get approved in advance of finding the perfect companion. Once approved, you are able to adopt an animal the same day.
