My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Age: 8 months
Weight: 3.59 kg

The name`s Loris, as in `slow loris`, but unlike her namesake there is nothing slow about this teenage kitten! Miss Loris is a sweet little lady who loves her pets and cheek scratches. She can`t wait to find a new home filled with lots of love, cuddles and play. Loris has lived with other cats before, and she`d be willing to share you with some kitty siblings! If playful and cute Loris is the right girl for you, come meet her today!

More about this shelter

CONNECTING LIVES SINCE 1922

From our earliest beginning, Calgary Humane Society was more than a shelter. As Calgary’s first-established animal welfare organization, connecting the lives of animals and people while providing essential animal services to the community remains our central priority.

Today, Calgary Humane Society (CHS) shelters almost 5,000 homeless animals each year. In 1922 we set out to help as many animals as we can and we will continue to do so by fostering the values of respect, compassion, commitment, teamwork, integrity and innovation.

Our mission is to help as many animals as we can.

Our vision is using innovative strategies to lead, inspire, and educate in the humane treatment of companion animals, fostering an enlightened community that consistently demonstrates respect and compassion for all animals.

Our dream is a community where animals are valued, humanely treated, and live enriched lives.

Calgary Humane Society is committed to creating a better tomorrow through education and collaboration.
