My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

*** Snow is in a foster home. ***

Gray tabby, short hair, neutered male, born 8/10/24, #19377

Cats: MUST have energetic playmate
Dogs: good
Children: savvy tweens+

BACKGROUND: Snow was a very fragile newborn with his umbilical cord still attached when he and his siblings were found in a box by the children of a volunteer (the kids named him). Despite round the clock critical care, the others weren’t able to rally and Snow was the only survivor. He not only survived, he thrived! Now Snow has his sights set on a forever family to call his own.

PERSONALITY: Snow is a lovable rascal. He doesn’t believe in half measures: he’s very active, very cuddly, very social, very snoopy… you get the idea. He needs lots of playtime and enrichment with toys and games; he likes springs, tunnels, pop-up tents, dangly wands, laser pointers, and anything that can be turned into a toy! He loves to play-wrestle with other cats near his age and needs that same-species interaction in addition to humans. Snow absolutely adores cuddling with you, and will drape himself on your chest so he can feel your heartbeat (even though he’s started sliding off as he gets bigger). He’ll nuzzle into your neck, give you kisses as he licks your face, and might occasionally lick your earlobes as well. If you’ve got a soft fuzzy robe, expect Snow to start suckling on it near your collar while he contentedly kneads his paws.

COMPATIBILITY: A feline playmate of similar energy and enthusiasm is essential for Snow; he is good with other cats in general but needs that play outlet with a willing friend. He is comfortable with the cranky senior Chihuahua in his foster home who thinks he’s a pest (he keeps pouncing on her). Snow hasn’t yet learned that people’s hands and feet aren’t toys, and though he means no harm he will wrestle-play on people a lot — he is much better about it when he can jump on another cat. He needs adopters who will provide consistency and redirective guidance on this front without getting upset with him; for this reason, we don’t recommend younger children and suggest a home with savvy tweens and up.

Snow is so endearing, so cute, so cuddly, so involved in everything, and so ready to take over your heart and home! Will you give this charmer the best life?
