My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.

Mya is an 11-pound beautiful merle girl with one blue eye and one hazel eye. She was born in 2017 and came into rescue with horrible skin, fleas, and in heat. After spending some time with Mya, you will see that she is just as sweet as she is adorable, and she will instantly steal your heart. She has been extremely friendly, inquisitive, and obedient since day one. She loves to play, loves pets and cuddles, likes to have her people within her sights, comes when called, and loves to just be the pampered princess that she is. Mya gets along with her furry foster sisters and brother, playing, sleeping and eating with them. She is great on a leash once she gets to know you, perfect in the car, and is a perfect little lady for the vet. We could not get her to go into a crate once she saw the other dogs in the house, so she has been free to roam in the house with them, but has used crates previously. She has done very well with being bathed. We have not noticed her having any negative reaction to any sounds or actions in the foster home. We are working on her potty training, but it has been difficult with a senior dog with bladder issues sharing her space. She is patient and waits for her food, but eats really quickly. We have used a slow-feeder to help with that. She waits patiently and takes treats from your hand gently. She barks and gets excited when either we come home or someone comes to the house. She greets us always wagging her tail and looking at us for approval. She responds to her name, we're working on 'stay' and 'wait' commands, and will lay down when we tell her it's time to go to bed. She's easy to love and gives her love easily.  Are you the one who will let her steal your heart?    To adopt Mya, please complete an adoption application at peacelovepoms.rescuegroups.org. The $350 adoption donation ($250 for senior citizens 65+) includes core vaccines (Rabies, Parvo/Distemper, and Bordatella), Accuplex (Heart worm and Lyme test), fecal, microchip, bloodwork, spay, dental, and all the love you can handle! Go meet their pets

Peace Love and Poms Rescue is not a shelter environment. All our dogs are placed in loving foster homes where they are treated like family until a forever home is found. This means all approved applicants will need to make an appointment with the foster pawrents to meet their potential new pet.
