Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
Let’s give Neo a forever home for his golden years!
Neo was given up to us through no fault of his own. His family was not able to care for a dog anymore. We were told that he was 8 years old (and his vet records from his owner state 8 years old), but he acts older than that. He seems to be deaf or at least very hard of hearing and he is on a daily NSAID to help with arthritis.
Neo is quiet and loves to sleep in warm beds and to get treats. He would do best in a calm home. He gets along with other dogs, but young puppies may be too much for him. He does well with kids. Neo has not been around cats as far as we know.
He recently had a dental and bloodwork with us, so he should be good for at least another year. Yorkies have notoriously bad teeth and most need yearly dentals when they are seniors. Another common thing with yorkies is trouble housetraining- and this fits Neo to a T! He can hold it when he wants to, but he often has a favored place on the floor to do his business even after being outside. House training was a struggle with him for his first family, but his foster family is familiar with senior yorkies. Neo is crate trained.

More about this rescue
The Fayette County Humane Society (FCHS), staffed entirely by volunteers, is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization supported entirely by individual and corporate donations. Because we do not have a shelter, all of the animals we rescue live in temporary foster homes until they are adopted. We believe that all companion pets have intrinsic value and should be treated with the reverence and care they deserve.
