**Admin note - Claire and Lance must be adopted together**
Lady Claire (tabby brown and white) is a VERY loving, easy going, ready to purr for anything, (morning greetings, food, play, snuggles, petting) gorgeous silky girl. I mean…what girl ever looked better with ear whiskers?!?? With her medium length fur, Claire is even prettier in person than what her photos show. She is smart! She meows when she needs something but is not needy. At night she will find you to ask why you are not in bed with her yet?! She sleeps through the night with her human (s) and is good to sleep with anyone in the family. She is an amazing big sister to her adoptive brother Lance. She plays and loves on him.
Lance (tuxedo) loves to play. He can’t get enough likely because for the first 10 weeks of his life he lived outdoors through two hurricanes while also dealing with a very serious nasal blockage that set him back without the ability to smell, nurse and even breathe well. Once he was treated, eating and growing he found his purr and natural love of play. His innate personality is sweet and loving which is still coming through. He is naturally cautious but will purr and wants pets when comfortable with you. He is learning to sleep with his sister Claire. He needs a family that can give him time to adjust and preferably a calmer home, and one that will love him as equally as enchanting Claire.
They are both litterbox trained, and negative for feline AIDS and Leukemia.
Most of Dexter's Kitties are fixed, chipped, SNAP combo tested and vaccinated for their age. The adoption fee is $125 for a kitten, $200 for two kittens. If you rent your home, we respectfully ask for your landlord or management company's information to confirm pets are allowed. If you own your home, we will check public records to confirm.
If the cat is still on our website, that means the cat is still currently available. If you have questions, your inquiries will be given priority if you submit an application at www.DextersKitties.org. We are a volunteer team and try to respond as quickly as time allows.
And finally please remember that cats can live more than 20+ years, so this is a LIFE TIME commitment. Please make sure you have the financial resources to cover emergency vet bills if your cat gets sick, a stable home, and someone to take the cat(s) if something heaven forbid happens and you can no longer care for them. Thank you for adopting a rescue cat!
