Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
Foster Update Aug 9, 2024: Vada came to the shelter scared and shaking. She did not trust anyone. When she came to our home to weather the storm, I did not expect how quickly she would blossom! In just two days she went from hiding in a crate to coming up to people for pets and reassurance. She met cats and did not bother them, walked through the house alone exploring, and slept in her crate through the night. Though she gets nervous if someone hovers, she’ll allow us to pick her up and also pet her. Her favorite hobbies so far are running around the yard as fast as possible and laying in mud puddles to cool off! The hound/pointer instincts show in the way she poses while listening and as she discovers her voice! She has only whined when in a messy crate and when she was not ready to go in for the night. Vada is not yet house trained and is learning what a leash is for. She is nervous about new sounds and unexpected movements. She likes to follow people around the house but will lay down in the crate on her own when she’s overwhelmed. Miss Vada is a sweet, small sized dog who desperately wants to interact with people. She needs time to adjust but will make a great companion!
