Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Meet Piebald and Thing 1! These two 4-month-old sisters are ready to find a loving home who's absolutely smitten with them, their sweetness, and their quirks! Their future family will be completely obsessed with them; I just know it!
Thing 1 (tabby girl) is the sweetest little munchkin. She is like a speedy little squirrel and can jump so much higher than you think she can when she's playing; afterwards, she immediately crawls into your lap filled with happy purrs and snuggles. There is no way not to be put at ease around her sweet little face, as she's nothing but love.
Piebald (black and white) is quirky and cute, with the funniest personality to match! Her tiny little face always looks like she's calculating something or disapproving of something as she's got pursed little lips and a tiny mouf that is hilarious! She is a bit reserved with new people and quick movements and can get a bit anxious by too much change. But once she's decided she likes you, she loves zipping around after toys and will come up to you for lots of pets, especially back scritches, where she will eventually flip or flop over with her little legs in the air.
They are good with other cats, have met a cat-savvy dog and done okay, but no kids unless teenagers or older (for Piebald’s sake, so she can be comfortable in her home and continue to work on her confidence).
The girls would like a stable home where they can be justly spoiled and give their forever family so much love and daily laughter. Could that be with you?
There is no guarantee of age and breed as a rescue animal’s history is unknown. and boosters that are not covered by Pet Haven after adoption.

Pet Haven is a foster-based rescue. Our animals live with foster families until they are placed in permanent homes and their foster families get to know the dogs and cats learning important information about the animals. For example, the foster family will know if the dog or cat is good with other animals or children, and will have a good idea of what kind of training, attention, and special needs the pet may require. This makes our foster families great resources for potential adopters!

Our Mission
Pet Haven improves the lives of pets and the people who love them by rescuing, rehabilitating, and rehoming dogs and cats; reducing pet overpopulation by supporting spay and neuter efforts, and providing resources to people that help strengthen the human-animal bond.
Our Vision
A Minnesota where all pets live in safe, loving homes.
Our Values
Excellence in service and care; community; integrity; innovation; perseverance; compassion; a rewarding place to volunteer
How We Help
Spay/Neuter Initiative Program: Providing support to end pet overpopulation in Minnesota
Owner Surrender: Providing a safe haven for pet owners
Foster: Committed to finding forever homes for cats and dogs
Phoenix Fund for Special Needs: Providing veterinary care for animals in need of healing
What We Do
We help dogs and cats find homes with loving families through foster-based care. Every dog and cat lives with a foster family until they find their forever families. We provide all of their basic needs including proper food, veterinary care, behavior training, and supplies.
Through in-home fostering, we learn about each animal’s temperament, personality, likes/dislikes, and any medical needs. With this first-hand information, we can then find the right family for each dog and cat.
Our volunteers also educate the public on responsible companion animal care and represent respect for animals at all times. Whether we’re working with prospective new families, meeting people at public events, or socializing with friends and family, we encourage others to view and treat their pets as members of the family. We are their guardians, and they depend on us for companionship and care.
We spay/neuter prior to adoption.
We microchip all our Pet Haven Pets and remain as a secondary contact.
We make sure all pets are up to date on required vaccinations
We test for Heartworm and Lymes in all our dogs and are transparent in the results and treament
We test for FeLV/FIV and are transparent in the results. We believe that cats who test positive still deserve a chance at a quality home.
We do not euthanize animals unless they have untreatable health or behavioral conditions that deny them an acceptable quality of life or makes them a serious threat to people, other animals, or themselves.
How We Operate
We rely on adoption fees, tax-deductible donations, grants, and special events to keep our rescue operating. Our staff, Board of Directors, and volunteers have provided the passion and commitment to keep Pet Haven a safe haven for animals for almost 70 years.
We are committed to preventing pet homelessness through the SNIP Grant. Since 2005, we have granted more than $240,000 to organizations in Minnesota to support spay/neuter initiatives.
