My personality

My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Urgent foster or adopter in Orange County needed for Emet! This guy is with one of our overcrowded shelter partners and we can't get him out unless we have a foster or adopter lined up for him (we are totally foster based).

Emet is a 1.5 year old Pointer/Lab mix weighing in at 33lbs. He could afford to put on some weight. He is neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, and on flea/tick/HW meds.

Emet is fantastic with other dogs and kids. He's sweet, gentle, and laidback. He's the definition of "let's go for a hike... and then take a nap." But don't let his relaxed vibes fool you-he's all about adventures! Whether it's exploring the great outdoors, sniffing out the best trails, or rolling around in the grass, he's here for it. He's also really good at winding down after a fun day of adventuring. You'll find him cuddling up, snoring peacefully like hes run a marathon (but really, he's just had a few zoomies).

He's also a quick learner, so if you want to teach him some cool tricks, he's all in! Sit, stay, roll over? Yep, he'll do it. He's not just about the walks and snuggles-he's ready to work for those treats!

What he's really looking for is a family that loves adventure but also appreciates a good lazy day. If you're into outdoor excursions by day and Netflix marathons by night, you'll get along just fine.

Emet is getting the hang of basic obedience and potty training, but he will need a home willing to continue working with him on those things.

If you want to give Emet the live he deserves, please fill out an application on our website!

More about this rescue

Launched in 2021, Diamond's Friends Pet Rescue is a Newport Beach-based 501(c)(3) animal rescue organization. We are entirely foster-based and are no-kill. Our mission is to help as many homeless dogs and cats as possible find loving and compassionate adoptive families.

We accomplish this by being good stewards of donations, inspiring dedicated volunteers and fosters, providing education on responsible pet ownership, and being advocates for each animal that comes under our care. Our goal is to make a positive impact in the lives of as many animals as we can.

Diamond's Friends Pet Rescue is named in honor of our founder's late dog, Diamond. She was a fantastic foster sister to numerous dogs and was a friend to every animal she met. It is our hope that many more animals in need will get to be one of Diamond's friends.
