Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Greetings, mortals! I am Tir, named after the Norse god of honor and war, but don’t worry—I’m here to conquer hearts, not kingdoms (though I do hope to call your kingdom my home soon).
I suppose you could call me… distinguished. Life hasn’t exactly been easy on me, but it’s made me who I am today. You see, I started off as an indoor pup, one who didn’t even get the chance to feel grass under my paws. Then everything changed. My owner went to a nursing home, and just like that, my housemates and I were cast out into the world to fend for ourselves. It was terrifying, uncertain, and heartbreaking—some of us didn’t even make it. But thankfully, kind-hearted folks stepped in, reached out to PPFT, and before I knew it, I was welcomed into their fluffy butt family. Safe at last, and ready for my next chapter.
I was given the name Tir because this is a totally new beginning for me and I needed a mighty name. I am estimated to be around 6 months old, and I weigh around 42lbs. It hasn’t taken me long to realize—I really like this new life. Before I was indoors, sure, but I wasn’t really part of the family, you know? I was just… there. No one spent time with me, taught me anything, or let me explore the world. So, I’ve got some catching up to do! Leashes, though? That’s a whole other story. I mean, come on—do I look like a sheep to you? Us Pyrs are known for our stubborn streak, and being led around by a rope? Not exactly my thing. That said, I’ve realized that leashes lead to adventures, and adventures are… growing on me. But let’s take it one paw at a time, okay? I’m still building my confidence and getting the hang of new places. Sometimes, they’re a bit overwhelming. What I do love is meeting new people—my tail’s always wagging, and I try to greet everyone with a smile. If your idea of a good time is staying home, though, I’m all in for that, too. Who needs the hassle of pants… or leashes? Let’s cuddle up on the couch, snack on some treats, and binge-watch movies together. Sounds like the perfect plan to me!
I’m not so sure apartment life would be my thing. With all the hustle and bustle, it might be a bit overwhelming for a pup like me who’s still learning the ropes. A home with a big yard to play and stretch my legs? Now that sounds just about perfect. No matter where I land, though, I hope you’re ready for a little something extra—glipyr! “What’s glipyr?” you ask. Well, it’s my very special way of showing love. Since I can’t bring you gifts, I share the next best thing: my fur! It goes with any décor, pairs flawlessly with every outfit, and might even add some extra fluff to mealtime (you're welcome). On the bright side, I’m already potty trained, so no surprise “gifts” on your floor plan. As for kennels, though, I’m still figuring those out. They’re new to me, and let’s just say they don’t exactly make my “favorite things” list. I am a Pyr, which means I do like to serenade my humans with the song of my people—Pyr pride, after all! Now, don’t worry, I haven’t gone full bark-a-holic. Those crickets farting five miles away? They’re safe for now. But hey, no promises that I won’t out them someday!
I’m a pretty social guy and absolutely love hanging out with other dogs. Playtime is my favorite, and honestly, I could go all day if they let me! I’m a happy-go-lucky pup with a personality that sometimes feels more Golden Retriever than Pyr—gotta keep my people guessing, right? As for those mysterious creatures called “purrinators” (cats, I think?), I haven’t had the pleasure of meeting one yet. But I’m open to negotiations—as long as they understand I’m the new ruler of the kingdom, of course. Oh, and kids? I adore them! I do great around little humans and enjoy watching over them. Just keep in mind, I’m still a puppy myself, so sometimes I need a gentle nudge when it comes to boundaries. But overall, I’m all about fun, love, and being the best fluffy companion anyone could ask for! Don’t get your hopes up about me playing fetch though. I mean, seriously—why would I spend my energy chasing after something, bringing it back, and then doing it all over again? Who came up with that idea? It’s a hard pass from me, thanks!
So, if you’re looking for a social, fun-loving pup with a little extra glipyr, and you don’t mind a bit of quirky independence, I might just be your guy! Ready to let me rule your kingdom and shower you with love (and fur)? If you’re up for the adventure, you’ll need to come meet me in Kiefer, OK—no transports here. Let’s make some memories together—adopt me today!
Love
Tir <3
