My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

IN Milton, DE Theodore “Teddy”
DOB 7/02/2024
Australian Shepherd/Labrador mix
Up to date on vaccines and preventatives
Scheduled to be neutered in January 2025

Theodore, or Teddy for short, is an amazing little Australian Shepherd/Labrador mix puppy who will steal your heart! He is the most happy-go-lucky puppy on the planet!

Teddy was dumped at a shelter with 5 of his littermates and battled parvo. He is a strong survivor. We lost 3 of his siblings. Teddy is a happy, healthy, active puppy.

Teddy is potty trained, although still a puppy who whittles a little when he gets excited, especially meeting new people. He loves his crate at bedtime but also loves human beds just as much!

Theodore is a smart, active boy who loves playtime with his foster siblings, both canine and feline! He is a quick learner, knows some basic commands and is eager to learn more. He will do anything to please his people!

Teddy is looking for a loving family who wants lots of cuddles and will take him on new adventures. He will make you smile every day and give you unconditional love for a lifetime!
Theodore is looking for a family with another dog and someone who is home more than not. He would be a fabulous therapy dog too! We will be selective in matching this sweet boy with his new home.

Please open your heart to this special little boy! He is currently being fostered in Milton, Delaware.

More about this rescue

Nancy Gonzalez, founder and CEO, created Australian Shepherds Furever (ASF), a non-profit organization to promote the educated adoption and rescue of the Australian Shepherd (Aussie) dog breed.

In July of 2012, ASF initiated as a Facebook page hoping to have 1,000 user "likes" by the end one year. The page quickly outgrew expectations, now with a network of nearly 85,000 individuals striving to provide aid and refuge to Aussies all over the country.

Using the Facebook page as a platform, the website www.australianshepherdsfurever.org was developed as an additional resource aimed at educating the public on this intelligent and beautiful breed. It provides resources for those seeking help, or those willing to contribute to the Adopt, Save, Foster (ASF) philosophy. Through this philosophy, ASF has saved the lives of countless dogs and helped to provide assistance to those that have nowhere else to turn.

We as humans have a responsibility to speak up and take action in favor of those beings that are less fortunate. Thanks to a team of passionate and proactive volunteers, Aussies nationwide are given a chance at a better life through Australian Shepherds Furever.
