My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Bootsie is a Maine Coon mix (his father was 25 lbs!) who came to us with his two brothers just two months ago. All were adopted into great homes, but Bootsie came back when the family's older cat refused to accept him. So he is again available to a wonderful home. He doesn't have the long hair, but he does have the sweet and easy going personality, and he's a good sized kitten (Maine Coons grow until they're three years old!) He's used to living with dogs and other cats and gets along with everyone here. We just love this boy! (The pictures show two kittens. He's the one with the slip of white on his face - the one in the front)

Their adoption process

1.

Interview

Inquiries are replied to by email explaining details about the pet and our protocols. If the applicant replies positively, we call by phone.

2.

Meet the Pet

After an extensive phone interview, arrangements can be made for the family to come and meet us and the pet

3.

Sign Adoption Contract

If all goes well, contract is signed, fee is paid, and the family goes home with their pet. Full lifelong support is then available to them

Additional adoption info

We follow raw feeding and holistic protocols and require those who come to us for a pet to do the same. We offer lifetime support, and take any pet back returning adopt fees should a situation arise where the animal is no longer able to stay in the home.

Go meet their pets

We don't display rescue dogs to the public. Instead we interview families interested in a particular dog with a view to matching that dog with the best possible candidate.

More about this rescue

As the Northern CA chapter for Heartbandits AED rescue, we are available to help American Ekimo Dogs and other small dogs, puppies, and small pregnant dogs in need. Our protocols include raw feeding and holistic care which we encourage everyone we place a dog with to continue in the interest of optimal health and longevity.
