Hi all, I came to Safe Haven from another shelter and I'm quickly becoming a favorite to visit. I'm a happy-go-lucky guy who wants to just cuddle with everyone I meet. I have a reputation for being quite the loudmouth here, I really don't like being left alone and will bark and howl when left alone. But I am very happy to go outside and play or even settle down for some time for indoor cuddles and play. I really love balls, if I could I would gather all of them up and keep them for myself. Once an application is approved, we ask potential adopters to come to the shelter to visit the pet or pets they are interested in. If it seems like a great fit, then we would have you fill out the Adoption Contract and provide you with the pet's medical chart, some of the food it is currently eating, and offer any advice we can on that individual cat or dog.

Our shelter is located at 1471, US Highway 20 West, Elizabeth, IL, 61028. Our hours are: Monday - Saturday, 10am to 3pm. We can provide by-appointment-only visits from 3pm to 5:30pm. We are closed on Sundays.

Our Board of Directors, Shelter Staff, and Dedicated Volunteers believe that together we can make a difference in the lives of cats, dogs, and the people who care about them.
