My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Janice!
Janice is a 1-year-old, 35-pound hound mix with a heart full of love. With her soft coat and gentle personality, she’s the perfect companion for anyone looking for a loyal, affectionate pet. Janice loves cuddling, getting pets, going on walks, and chewing on bones. While she’s a little shy when first meeting new people, she warms up quickly and forms strong bonds with her family.

She’s currently working on her crate and house training. She gets along well with the cats and other dogs in her foster home. Though there are no kids in her current foster home, her sweet demeanor suggests she would do well with children. Janice is patiently waiting for her forever family – could that be you?

If you are interested in adopting Janice, please submit an inquiry directly to Greater Charlotte SPCA by visiting charlottespca.org/adopt. The adoption amount is a suggested donation of $200 to $300 dollars based on the pet's age.

**Because our rescue is composed entirely of volunteers, local applications will take precedence. We will accept out of town applications, but any family is responsible for coming to Charlotte to complete a meet and greet. All out of town applicants will also have to be willing to drive to Charlotte to pick up the pet as soon as they are approved to adopt. **
