Jupiter is a five-year-old, 43-pound German Shepherd mix with a future that’s full of potential. While he may be a little reserved at first, it doesn’t take long for him to warm up and become an attentive and eager companion. This smart boy already knows how to sit and shake, and his love for treats—especially cheese—makes him a quick learner for future training. Jupiter takes his treats politely and enjoys showing off his playful side, happily chasing after toys and bringing them back with a cheerful play bow.
Although he can get a bit overenthusiastic and jump up on people, Jupiter responds well to training and is eager to please. He cooperates with leashing but could use some additional leash work. Impressively, he has shown the ability to remain calm and non-reactive when walking past barking dogs, making him an easily redirectable companion.
Jupiter will thrive in an active family that can match his energy and continue his training. His adoption fee of $225 includes spaying/neutering, vaccinations, microchipping, and a complimentary wellness visit at Phoenix Mountain Animal Hospital.
To meet this lively and lovable doggo, call 602-971-1334 to schedule an appointment during adoption hours, Thursday through Saturday from 11:00 am to 4:00 pm. Jupiter is ready to become your loyal and joyful new family member!

Home Fur Good has trained adoption counselors to review and question any potential problems/issues with application. We do require an adoption fee which ranges for dogs $150-$300 and for cats $50-$100. All cats and dogs are spayed/neutered, microchipped, vaccinated and vet checked.
If another dog or dogs are present in the household we require a meet and greet prior to adoption. All members of the household must be on board with adoption. We do not adopt our rescues out without meeting person that will be responsible - no "gift" adoptions. We contract that if cat/dog must be relinquished they are returned to us. If there is a change of ownership we must be kept informed who responsible party is. Fees are non refundable.

More about this rescue
Home Fur Good is a non profit no kill animal shelter located in the NE Valley. We take a majority of our cats and dogs from County, many who have treatable medical conditions and would otherwise be put down. We assess physical and behavior and work with the cats/dogs to find the best suitable match. It is our goal that each cat or dog that comes to our shelter ultimately be placed in their "furever" homes.
We also operate a low cost vaccine and microchip clinic each Sunday. We want to help community be able to care for and keep their animals safe. We do not charge vet fee only fee for vaccine and microchip. Additionally we have a low cost dental clinic each Wednesday. Check our website for more details.
