My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

How this pet arrived:
Buster was brought in by our Humane Law Enforcement team.

Why this Buster might be the one for you:
Buster is a strong cat, physically and mentally. He started out a little shy with us as most cats do. But, he is curious and it did not take long for him to come out from hiding places and check out his new world. He wants head scratches and will bury his big head in any outstretched hand to get them. He has a weakness for catnip which we are happy to provide. He eats it and he acts silly in it. He is now in a foster home where he is continuing to put his initial shyness behind him and explore his people and his home. Buster likes to be brushed and needs regular grooming because his hair is kind of long. Speaking of looks, Buster is not just any ole plain black and white cat. His white paws, white stomach and white chest are stunning. His black fur is shiny.. His pink nose is pinker than pink. >At SDHS:
Buster has been vaccinated, microchipped and spayed/neutered and is now ready for his new home! If you want a good friendly black and white cat for your new best friend, contact us at the information below and we will make arrangements for you and Buster to meet.

More about this shelter

San Diego Humane Society, an open-admission shelter, is creating a more humane world by inspiring compassion and advancing the welfare of animals and people. Our lifesaving safety net has helped San Diego become the largest city in the U.S. to keep healthy and treatable shelter animals from being euthanized. We are a private, independent, nonprofit organization that is not affiliated with any other humane society or society for the prevention of cruelty to animals.

With campuses in El Cajon, Escondido, Oceanside, Ramona and San Diego, we provide animal services for 14 cities within San Diego County. We not only care for 50,000 animals in our communities but also share the expertise we have gained through our innovative programs with shelters nationwide so they can save more lives in their communities.

While our influence is expanding nationally, our top priority is meeting the needs of San Diego. We provide exceptional care for all animals through world-class veterinary medicine, shelter and most of all: love.
