My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Let's roll out the red carpet for the most handsomest boy in town! His name is Woowoo Wookie and he is the Clint Eastwood/prince charming of all dogs. This handsome fella is a showstopper and will have people stopping you from left and right to say hello and admire his good looks. So if you're a single guy, you have your self a chick magnet with Woowoo. Not only are his looks a 10 out of 10, his personality is a 20 out of 20. We call him Woowoo because he does these deep, grumbly, woo's and only does them on special occasions. You want to know what those special occasions are? It'll make you giggle. Well it's when he wants to come inside or when he sees you coming home. He's your personal welcoming committee. Just imagine coming home and being greeted by this lovable blocky head beefcake with those beautiful soulful eyes looking up at you everyday. That's a paints a pretty perfect picture if you ask me.

Woowoo Wookie is an American pittie mix approximately 3 years old and currently weighs 57lbs and still has some love pounds to gain. Once he reaches a healthy weight, we expect him to be around 70 lbs give or take. Woowoo is a rescue dog and with any rescue, it's always a mystery and we cannot guarantee breed or age. Speaking of not being able to guarantee breed, Woowoo has the best feet!!! We know, kinda weird to obsess over a dog's feet but we can't help it. For one thing his feet are huge (not in a weird way) and his feet are webbed, like he has some sort of water dog breed mixed in there somewhere. We aren't sure if he likes water or not and we can test that for you if you like all we know if that he certainly has the paws for it if he does.

Woowoo is a social guy and loves people. He will need some time to decompress and settle in once he gets into his new home but don't worry it won't take long! He'll be loving on you in no time and asking for booty scratches. Which are his favorite by the way. He is such a tolerant guy that he will stand there like a gentleman allowing you to dress him up with cowboy hats, jingle bells around his waist, let’s you put sweaters on him, bandanas, pose him for pictures, the whole nine yards. It's almost like he somewhat enjoys being dressed up and getting his picture taken. Maybe that's the Clint Eastwood side to him or the treats that are involved. Let's be honest it's probably the treats that are involved. He loves treats and takes them oh so gently.

Woowoo is more than just his good looks. He is smart, treat motivated and already comes with some tricks up his sleeve. He knows how to sit, is crate trained, potty trained and walks well on a leash. He will occasionally pull on the leash when he sees another dog or towards something he wants to go smell but a few leash corrections is all it takes. When it comes to any additional training you may want to do, Woowoo is all in! He loves treats and will work for food. You can probably train him to do just about anything you wanted to.

Woowoo is dog friendly and he has been introduced to a variety of dogs all with varying personalities and has done great with all of them. He even joins daily playgroups here at the rescue and loves to play! We have noticed that he does best around other female dogs that are confident, like to play and the ladies that are tolerant of a more rowdy play style that aren’t intimidated by his size. He is a little goofy and awkward when he plays, like a typical bully. If you are familiar with bully breeds you know the type, they like to play with their bodies, bumping into one another, bounce around, and they like to wrestle. That is exactly how Woowoo plays. When he has found a dog that he really likes, he does the cutest play bows inviting them to play. Woowoo was a little too interested in our small dog tester Mateo who is about 13 lbs so no small scruffy dogs for him as well as no cats.

Woowoo has been around kids ages 4 and 6 and was a gentle king around both of them. He took treats gently, was not jumpy, knocking them over, and was completely relaxed around them. He even snuggled up on the couch with a 4 year old and was mindful and respectful of his size. We believe he could be a great dog with a family that has kids and If you have a certain age group of kids in the home, we can test him with any age group. Even as young as 8 months old. Overall Woowoo has a calm and relaxed energy about him and won’t require a lot of exercise other than a nice walk around the neighborhood or play session in the backyard. We do want to see Woowoo go to a home that has a backyard where he can get the occasional zoomies, sunbathe and just enjoy relaxing in the yard with you. We have noticed that Woowoo is a total house hippo. He loves to be inside and he’ll definitely let you know if you have left him outside for too long by giving you his famous “woowoo” grumbles. From what we have seen, he has great house manners and is a lover of the couch and finding a nice cozy spot to lay on. He also isn’t a dog that you have to keep your eye on all the time. He isn’t sticking his nose in places where it doesn’t belong. He’s a perfect gentleman. Woowoo has all of the qualities of being man’s best friend, a family dog, your house hippo, and your lover boy. We are willing to test WooWoo with anything you need us to in order to ensure it’s the perfect match for you! We can make anything happen! Just let us know.

https://g.co/kgs/UQ5Pyai We care deeply about making the perfect match between dog and family for long term success.

Our rescue has a 2 acre property in Texas where we assess every animal with trainers on staff, we modify behavior as needed, and create individualized behavior plans to help prepare dogs for their future families including crate training, potty training, leash walking, etc. Our fosters are able to attend group trainings and socialization play groups to keep dogs adoption-ready. Our on-site trainers support the positive growth of our dogs and we enjoy seeing their progress!

Our commitment to comprehensive medical care sets us apart. We've received glowing feedback from veterinarians who commend our dedication to ensuring the health and well-being of every animal in our care with treatments that often go above and beyond.

Our adoption fees reflect the extensive care and resources that go into each animal we save. The adoption fee is a donation to the mission and goes far beyond getting a fully vetted pet.

The rescue’s hard costs alone for a healthy dog to go through our program typically range between $412 to $859, which includes boarding, food, medications, vaccines, and spay/neuter. For heartworm-positive dogs, hard costs are upwards of $1,120. Additionally, dogs requiring extended boarding, extra training, or extra medical care—such as dental work, vision care, or orthopedic care—can lead to expenses running into the thousands. Also, included in the fee are costs to cover transport up to the Pacific Northwest or East Coast. While adoption fees help cover part of these expenses, we want to emphasize that Three Little Pitties Rescue is not government funded.

It doesn’t stop there! Our adopters also receive these SPECIAL PERKS:

Did you know that the Greater Houston area faces some of the highest stray and overpopulation rates in the nation? We are a non profit charity. Our goal is simple— to reduce the homeless pet population through community outreach, free spay and neuter services, and by rescuing animals from the streets or overcrowded shelters where euthanasia due to lack of space is often the only option. The dog you've found online is not only lucky to be in our program, but also incredibly fortunate to have caught your eye. Thank you for considering adoption and for joining us in our mission!

Follow our rescue journey and connect with us on our website and social media platforms. Together, we can make a difference, one adoption at a time.
