Meggie!

Meggie is a sweet and slightly timid older cat who is also very loving and vocal when she is comfortable. She will need a very specific kind of home. Meggie has lived her entire life with one other cat and an elderly woman in a quiet home. She might tolerate another pet, but she wouldn't thrive in house where she was constantly afraid of other pets or in a home that is loud or has rambunctious small children. Her new owner will need to be patient while she acclimates. Once Meggie has a few days to warm up to her new surroundings, she is more vocal and will seek out attention. She prefers to come to you for petting or be brushed where she is resting. She is not used to being picked up/carried, but she tolerates it. She likes to curl up at the bottom of the bed and sleep near you but is also quite happy in her own little bed. She will make a great roommate!
