2/16/25. 5-year-old HERMEY is still waiting patiently for his forever home. This 5-year-old dobie shepherd mix was found fending for himself for almost 1 year in Hialeah before coming to the rescue. He is a sweet, smart boy who will do anything for some attention and a belly rub, but as he is a strong boy and will need some training, he is best suited for an experienced large breed handler. He seemed to like other dogs when first coming to the rescue, but now it seems he may be better as the only dog. He may possibly work with proper introduction to a calm female. 12/27/24. Meet HERMEY! This incredibly sweet 5 yr old Dobie/shepherd mix was fending for himself for over a year in Hialeah. For the last 3 months, some very kind ladies have been taking care of him and trying to catch him so they could finally get him safe with us. In the last few weeks we have had him, he's shown himself to be a very loving and gentle boy. He is super strong on a leash and will need some training, but the Dobie/shepherd mixes have proven themselves to be amazingly smart and eager to please. He is good with all people, likes other dogs, and likes the water. Cats and small children are unknown, so we will not put him in that situation.
