Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
Copper is a cute one-year old male Hound mix who was brought to the HSOV on December 18, 2024 by a Good Samaritan who found him on State Route 821 in the Lower Salem Ohio area. Copper was accompanied by his best friend Todd (who is most likely his brother). Neither of the boys were wearing a collar, and they were not microchipped.
Copper has a two-tone brown short smooth coat, a long tail, and an adorable Hound face with dark brown eyes, a tan mask, and extra-large floppy ears which frame his face.
There was a monsoon rain in the mid-Ohio Valley on December 17-18, and Copper must have splashed around in some mud puddles during his adventure.
Copper has a super-friendly outgoing personality. He was a pushover for 'good boy' treats when HSOV Shelter Manager Tracy Lynn Moore spent time with him in the lobby for preliminary photos.
Copper weighs 30 lbs.
In compliance with the Ohio Revised Code, Copper will be held for three days so that his family will have an opportunity to reclaim him with proof of ownership.
