My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

He’s got the blues!

Just look at this sweetie. Levi is a bit shy, but a real love. He recently has been brought up to date on his shots, he is neutered, microchipped and just a big cudllebug. We learned today that Levi has some arthritis that will require his new owner be patient with this gentle soul. He doesn't walk as quickly as he once did but this boy is still full of life! He will require a glucosamine/chondroitin tablet each day to help ease his joints but that is readily available over
the counter.

Levi would be best suited in a home without small children whose activity level would overwhelm him. Levi is good with other dogs, and we’d describe him as a low energy boy with lots of kisses left to share! At just 26 lbs he’s at a good weight and we think he will make a terrific companion animal for someone looking for an armchair buddy. Cute is in this boys JEANS – submit an application so you can you meet LEVI!

Update on Levi!

We're very happy to report that Levi is doing wonderfully and adjusting so well in foster care! This little monkey is quite the trickster, too! Levi seems to know how to push his foster dad's sympathy buttons and we thought this guy's arthritis prevented him from hopping in/out of his crate
- that is, until we caught him red handed jumping into everyone else's crate to sniff out goodies. It turns out that not only can Levi sniff out every biscuit, he actually sits up on his hind legs for them - and we thought he was having trouble getting around!

Believe it or not this is one beagle that can be left OFF LEASH when you're gardening/tooling around in the yard - he's so content to just sit by you that he never wanders far - most of the time he meanders back in through our doggie door on his own when he's had enough of the heat! We
can't blame him.

Crate training is a dream and Levi is a low barker! We still maintain that Levi would do best left on his daily glucosamine because in the time he's been with us we've seen marked improvements!!
