My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

AN AFFECTIONATE BOY:  Approx. 4 years old / Approx. 31 lbs.

Hello, I’m Enzo!  Mostly Mutts rescued me from animal control, and I am so happy that they welcomed me into the MM family!  I’m getting great care and enjoying my time with the volunteers. I hope to meet my new family soon!

• OTHER DOGS/CATS/KIDS:  I met other dogs at Mostly Mutts and wasn’t ready to play with them yet, but I also didn’t show any aggression, so if you have a dog already, let’s meet and see if we can be friends. There does seem to be an occasional dog that I don’t care for in passing, but when I was tested with dogs, that was not the case. / Cats unknown. / I haven’t met kids yet at Mostly Mutts, so let’s meet and best no toddlers that I may bump over.

• PERSONALITY/ENERGY LEVEL:  I am a real sweetheart, who – though a bit nervous initially – wags my tail the whole time I am outside with the volunteers.  Calm and friendly for my shelter bath, I soaked up all the love from my bather and gave her kisses, so – once comfortable with you, I am a loving and affectionate companion.  The volunteers call me a ‘charmer’, and I bet you will agree. / My energy level is 4-6.

• SKILLS/CRATE/POTTY:  I know the ‘sit’ command, and I bet you can teach me even more. Keep a good hold of my leash in case I get startled and run as I don’t want to get lost or hurt. / My crate manners are good at Mostly Mutts. / I've been having just a few accidents on the shelter schedule, so please continue to be consistent with me on a good schedule, so I can fully master my potty skills.

• LIKES/DISLIKES:  I love attention from my people and enjoy giving lots of kisses in return. Body scratches are just the best!  Though not super interested in toys, I do love to play, so I bet you can find some toys I may like. / I can’t think of any dislikes, though I’m sure I wouldn’t like it if I didn’t get enough love, attention, exercise, and training.

• MEDICAL:  I'm current on vaccinations, micro-chipped and neutered.

I am looking for a loving family to give me a wonderful furever home!  My adoption fee is $299.00, and I’m located in Kennesaw, Ga.

Mostly Mutts Animal Rescue & Adoption's Adoption Process

Our facility is currently open to the public Monday-Saturday, 11-3. We welcome you to come meet our adoptable Mutts & Kitties! Please keep in mind the following:

Many of our adoptable Mutts & Kitties are in foster homes, so please call 770-272-6888 to find out if the pet you are interested in is at our facility. With an approved application we can set up meet & greets and adoptions with a pet in foster care.
We are not yet up to full ‘staffing’ following the pandemic, so there may be times when we cannot do meet & greets or process an application on the spot.
The best first step is to submit an application via www.mostlymutts.org.
Our adoption counselors are happy to help make a great match for you and your family!

Adoption Info:
Please submit an application through our website at www.mostlymutts.org if you are interested in one of our adoptable pets. We are receiving a large volume of applications and processing may take a little bit longer than normal. We are grateful for your interest, and an adoption counselor will be in touch as quickly as possible. Please give us 48 hours to respond before sending a follow-up email.

Don’t see a dog or cat for you on the website? Submit the application anyway!! We are taking in a large number of dogs and cats weekly. Due to the overwhelming demand, many are matched with approved applicants prior to being posted online. Our adoption counselors will be happy to help make a great match for you and your family.

Thank you for your patience and support!

You may also call our phone line, 770-272-6888 or email adopt@mostlymutts.org with specific questions about any of our adoptable animals. We do require an interview, references and a contract. Who We Are:

Mostly Mutts is a 501(c)3, non-profit organization, staffed almost entirely by volunteers!

Our Mission is to help the Unwanted, Abandoned, Abused and Sick animals in our local counties. We fulfill this mission by working closely with County Animal Control Facilities, saving those who are in imminent danger of euthanasia, or those with needs which require specialized vet care that many other groups will not consider: major orthopedic issues, heartworm positive treatment, skin conditions, neglect and abuse
