My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

How this pet arrived:
Frosty was brought in by a community member on December 16, 2024.

Why this pet is the one for you:
Frosty the Snowcat is here to warm your heart, even if he starts off a little frosty! Found wandering in the wild, Frosty is now looking for his new home where he can slowly melt his way into your life. He's a bit of a mystery-will he become a snuggly lap cat or a dignified, independent snow prince? Only time will tell! One thing's for sure: with Frosty around, your holidays will be filled with joy (and maybe the occasional game of hide-and-seek as he settles in). Make sure to bring a sturdy carrier because Frosty is ready to take the journey home with you!

Shy/Fearful Cat:  Frosty requires a virtual behavior consult, please watch THIS video to learn more about them.

More about this shelter

San Diego Humane Society, an open-admission shelter, is creating a more humane world by inspiring compassion and advancing the welfare of animals and people. Our lifesaving safety net has helped San Diego become the largest city in the U.S. to keep healthy and treatable shelter animals from being euthanized. We are a private, independent, nonprofit organization that is not affiliated with any other humane society or society for the prevention of cruelty to animals.

With campuses in El Cajon, Escondido, Oceanside, Ramona and San Diego, we provide animal services for 14 cities within San Diego County. We not only care for 50,000 animals in our communities but also share the expertise we have gained through our innovative programs with shelters nationwide so they can save more lives in their communities.

While our influence is expanding nationally, our top priority is meeting the needs of San Diego. We provide exceptional care for all animals through world-class veterinary medicine, shelter and most of all: love.
