It breaks our hearts to write this, but we need to rehome our beloved dog. We adopted him from the pound last year, hoping he could help my husband, a military veteran with PTSD. Unfortunately, his own severe anxiety has made it difficult for him to thrive in our home.
Our dog is an amazing companion, incredibly loyal and affectionate, but he struggles with being left alone and is scared of the dark. He needs someone who can be with him most, if not all, of the time. He’s 4–5 years old, listens to a few commands, loves walks, and is fully potty trained.
However, he does jump on people and nip out of excitement. While he means no harm, this behavior could be challenging for small children or individuals with mobility issues. He’s great with other dogs and cats, but his playful nature can sometimes be overwhelming.
We’re looking for someone with the time, patience, and energy to provide the constant companionship and care he deserves. He’s truly a wonderful dog.
