My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Mama V!

This 4yr old, 40lb girl was brought to the shelter with her puppies, and was so scared she wouldn't even step outside of her kennel.

Since being in her foster home, Mama V has blossomed into a confident and playful little lady! She’s a petite package of love with the most stunning icy blue eyes that will melt your heart. She's got a sassy side that’s starting to shine through as she feels more secure and less afraid of the world around her. Award winning personality over here - she'll have you laughing for days with her silly antics (she has quite the singing voice).

Mama V is crate-trained, house-trained, and enjoys the company of other dogs.
She’s looking for a forever home where she can continue to flourish, feel safe, and give all her love to a family who will cherish her.

More about this rescue

Shy Club Rescue: A specialized rescue dedicated to often-overlooked shy dogs in shelters

At Shy Club Rescue, we embrace a heartfelt mission: to offer a nurturing refuge for shy dogs who are struggling in the shelter system. As shelter volunteers, we find ourselves often drawn to these dogs as they need a little extra time and patience to blossom. Our commitment is deep and unwavering; we provide specialized care, gentle socialization, and training tailored to the unique needs of each dog.

Our vision extends beyond mere rescue – we aim to unlock the hidden potential within each dog, fostering confidence and trust in a world that may have seemed too loud, too fast, too much. In uniting these dogs with empathetic, patient families, we ensure a future where every dog experiences the warmth of a forever home that cherishes their true nature and personality.

Shy Club Rescue is a movement to spotlight the overlooked, to uplift the underdogs, and to celebrate the moments when shy dogs find their confidence.
