DOB 12/25/18
Hey there, everyone! I’m Howell, a 12-pound gentle giant of a brown tabby with big, green globe eyes who takes the cake as far as being an extremely loving and friendly feline companion. I’m perfectly content to binge on Animal Planet and Netflix with my Foster Dad. I’ll snuggle up next to him and turn on my purr motor as soft white noise as he gently scratches my ears and chin. But I’m no couch potato! No siree! I’m like a nimble football player who, although he’s big and burly, still enjoys capering about with my toys.
I have an interesting backstory. A Good Samaritan assumed that I was feral when she trapped me as a new stray in her colony of community cats. However, during my neuter-surgery recovery, she discovered that I was friendly and therefore probably had been someone’s pet who had wandered away from home in search of love in all the wrong places. I was still intact, so I thought I was quite a Lothario. She later discovered that I had a hole in my soft palate. She reached out to some friends, and with the help of a Houston Pet Set grant, she was able to get me the surgery I needed to fix my palate. Now I’m all fixed up and feel just dandy!
That means that I’m ready to find my forever home. Could that be with you? I’m absolutely wonderful as cats go, if I do say so myself. So I’m an excellent candidate if you’re looking to adopt an affectionate cat who’s like a big, huggable teddy bear. Arrange to meet me today! By the way, I’d probably do best in a home with either no cats or younger, submissive cats

If you have questions prior to filling out the application or want to find out which adoption site this feline will be this week-end, email us at hope@homelesspets.net , and a volunteer will get back to you.
