My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Yeni, a 4-month-old mixed breed pup with a striking tri-colour coat! Yeni and Hwani are currently staying together, it is ideal if they go to the same home.

Yeni was found wandering with her mother, without a collar or leash. This little girl has a shy side but warms up quickly—especially if you’ve got treats. Once she feels comfortable, she’ll let you pet her and might even roll over to show you her belly.

Yeni hasn’t had the chance to meet kids under 13 yet, but she is learning to be brave in new situations. She can be picked up with ease, and while she is cautious around dogs bigger than herself, she is curious enough to start following them once she feels safe. With dogs her own size or smaller, Yeni is friendly and playful, though she prefers calmer companions who won’t overwhelm her. If another dog gets too rowdy or tries to pick a fight, she’s more likely to steer clear.

Currently living with a cat, Yeni is proving to be a well-mannered housemate. She has a moderate energy level, enjoying outdoor adventures and romping around with her siblings. After a good play session or walk, she’s content to settle down for a snooze or keep busy playing with her brother.

On walks, Yeni might pull on the leash a little, but she listens well and sticks close to her person. She doesn’t resource guard food, making her a polite companion around people and other dogs. She’s also a champ in the car—secure her with a doggy seatbelt, and she’ll happily sit back and enjoy the ride without any whining, drooling, or overexcitement.

Yeni is both indoor and outdoor potty-trained, so she’s flexible with her routine. And when it’s time for a crate, she settles in quietly and rests like a pro. With her sweet nature and gentle spirit, Yeni is sure to bring a lot of love and joy to a family ready to help her grow into her full potential!

More about this rescue

Adopt Korean Rescue is a volunteer-based federally registered not-for-profit organization dedicated to helping homeless and unwanted dogs in South Korea find a new home in Canada.

We love Korean dogs. Many of them live in chains, give birth on the side of the road, or wander around with their pups. Some of them get caught and end up at dog meat farms or high-kill shelters in South Korea. They luckily meet us just before euthanasia or after many years of living in dog meat farms. We exist to hold their paws and help them find a forever home in Canada full of joy and happiness.

Our dog rescue work depends on our flight volunteers. They help us safely bring our dogs from Korea to Vancouver or Toronto airports, where the dogs will find loving forever or foster homes.
