Ginger has already had at least two homes at just seven years old. Help us find her forever home! Ginger lost her most recent home due to her guardians' housing insecurity. Ginger is friendly and has lived with kids, dogs and other cats. She would be fine being your one and only pet too. She is a beautiful short haired, dark tortoiseshell. Ginger is affectionate, likes to snuggle in/on bed with you, likes to be brushed and is a lap cat. She can be playful and is an indoor only cat that would love to meet you. Ginger just had her teeth cleaned and is a healthy girl. After less than 24 hours in her foster home, her foster had this to say, "She ate all her food, has jumped up on the couch to rub my arm, loves being petted and is purring away! What an easy going girl she is!"

More about this rescue
Golden Oldies Cat Rescue is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization founded in June 2016.
Our mission is to be a resource and advocate for older cats in Monterey County. We re-home older cats in Monterey County whose guardians can no longer care for them, or those who are at risk in local shelters. We place these cats in temporary foster homes and then find permanent loving homes for them enriching the lives of both the cats and their new humans.
We promise a lifetime commitment to the cats in our care. They either will be adopted or will live out their lives in one of our foster homes.
Golden Oldies is led by a board who share a vision of helping older cats in Monterey County live out their remaining years in safe, secure and loving homes. We are all volunteer and 100 percent foster-based
