Darla is a female pit bull puppy looking for her forever family. She is super sweet and gentle, but also loves to play! Darla's rescue story is sad and traumatic. She had been starved to the bone, then discarded - like trash - in a kennel next to a dumpster on a frigid night in Galveston, Texas. After being found by a Good Sam, she was brought to an animal shelter and networked out to our rescue, where we've been able to help her put on weight and get healthy.

Darla is officially ready to find her family and her forever home. She is social with other animals, great with people, healthy, and just a total lovebug. Our rigorous adoption process ensures we are selecting the right home for each individual dog and his/her unique personality. This includes an application, home check, veterinary reference check, personal reference checks (only in certain situations), landlord checks (for rentals), phone interview with candidate, and meet and greet with our dog. From there we sign paperwork, pay the fee and send the dog home. We follow up frequently during the first few weeks, but are always a resource to our adopters.
