My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

How this pet arrived:
Catillac was transferred in from another animal welfare organization on December 19, 2024.

Why this pet is the one for you:
Meet Catillac, the sleek, independent luxury model of the feline world. He's not here for the flashy features-no turbo-purring or constant lap-hogging-but if you're looking for a low-maintenance companion with timeless charm, he's your guy. Catillac may take a little time to warm up, but once he does, he's perfectly content sharing the same space as his humans-think of him as the perfect couch co-pilot. If your home is calm and quiet, and your vibe is more "relaxed luxury" than "all-night party," Catillac might just roll into your heart. Don't forget your cat carrier; this distinguished gentleman is ready to cruise home with you!

More about this shelter

San Diego Humane Society, an open-admission shelter, is creating a more humane world by inspiring compassion and advancing the welfare of animals and people. Our lifesaving safety net has helped San Diego become the largest city in the U.S. to keep healthy and treatable shelter animals from being euthanized. We are a private, independent, nonprofit organization that is not affiliated with any other humane society or society for the prevention of cruelty to animals.

With campuses in El Cajon, Escondido, Oceanside, Ramona and San Diego, we provide animal services for 14 cities within San Diego County. We not only care for 50,000 animals in our communities but also share the expertise we have gained through our innovative programs with shelters nationwide so they can save more lives in their communities.

While our influence is expanding nationally, our top priority is meeting the needs of San Diego. We provide exceptional care for all animals through world-class veterinary medicine, shelter and most of all: love.
